Ruby and Owen’s wedding at Stretton Manor Barn this past Wednesday was an absolute scorcher—easily the hottest day of the year so far. The barn is such a fantastic venue for that kind of weather, and the sunshine just made everything pop. Ruby was the definition of calm while getting ready with her girls, though the energy definitely ramped up during her first look with the bridesmaids and then her dad. The ceremony was beautiful, capped off with a classic dip kiss as they made their exit that had everyone cheering.
The rest of the afternoon was just as smooth, spent sipping cocktails in the sun before we knocked out the family photos. The speeches were a massive highlight; there were plenty of emotions and more than a few tears shed around the room. We managed to sneak away for a golden hour shoot that was hands-down one of my favorite moments, mostly because Ruby and Owen broke out a set of "Bride and Groom" bucket hats. Ruby has a bit of a thing for them, so they were a perfect, fun touch for their portraits. After the first dance, the party took off instantly. It was such a brilliant, high-energy day to capture.
