Jess & Mike | Mount Pleasant Hotel

This day was one for the record books. It was the first time I had photographed anything at the beautiful Mount Pleasant Hotel and let me tell you, it’s a hidden gem! It was also the first time that I was able to meet Jess and Mike in person- which was very much overdue as I felt I had known them for so long! Thanks to the pandemic, they were actually one of the first couples to book my services, way back in 2019. Now after a rescheduled date, I finally got the chance to capture their beautiful day.

So, I walked into this day very rusty- it was only my second wedding back post pandemic, and I arrived over-prepared and enthusiastic. I knew that Jess was a calm and collected lass who was just so excited to finally marry Mike, after so many years together. I knew that Mike was just as eager as Jess was to celebrate, that he was a kind soul and that Jess thought the world of him. What I found out when I arrived at the venue was that Jess and Mike win the award for having the most humble relationship- they truly loved each other through and through, and appeared to be best friends, not just lovers. Deep friendship is a beautiful thing and I saw that shining between them. When there was a couple a hiccups throughout the day, Mike was immediately concerned for his Bride- like a knight in shining armour he did his best to see her smile again. I honestly couldn't fault them at all.

Tears and emotions kept flowing at the beginning of the day and they kept coming! It was a stunning day, and I can't wait for you to see their day through my eyes. Although I was booked for just videography during their day, as we had some time alone and I needed a little practice, I offered to capture some couple portraits as the lighting was just so so good.

Also, Jess couldn't even wait to leave me a review bless her. she hadn't even SEEN any material yet, but that's how nice of a person she is jumped online and posted to my Facebook within hours. Thank you my lovely:
